A Non-Stop Day of FREE Summer Fun

MARGATE, NJ – Beachstock 2016 returns to the Margate Beach Saturday June 25 with an expanded lineup of family-friendly events and FREE activities.  New this year is a  Surf Human Slingshot Demonstration, JCC’s Nature Josh’s Nature Show & Tell Animal Show and Nikki Briar & Sweet Briar Band, offering country line dancing lessons and a fun contest! More than 6,000 beach lovers flock to Margate Beachstock every year because there is truly something for everyone.

Attractions at the seventh annual installment of this 15-hour event include non-stop music on the 100.7 WZXL main stage by Bootleg and Drive the Bus winners from the Battle By The Beach Band Competition, presented by Golden Nugget., “Kids Are the Stars” on the 95.1 WAYV kid’s stage, beer, margaritas, plenty of food , volleyball, stand-up paddle boarding and lifeguard competitions, vendors, crafters, local retailers, Stacey’s Surf   lessons, and, at dusk, a bonfire and the movie, The Peanuts Movie. No beach tags are required for the event, which runs from 7a.m. to 10 p.m. and stretches between the Huntington and Granville Ave. beaches behind the Margate Public Library.

“How much fun can be had at Beachstock? All you could possibly want,” says Margate Business Association Executive, Anna Maria Blescia. “Each year, as attendance has increased, we’ve listened to the people and added more events and activities to the schedule.”

Festival goers can enjoy complimentary jitney shuttle service running 10am-10pm along Atlantic Avenue between Coolidge and Fredericksburg avenues and the Eugene A. Tighe School. Beach Buggies will also provide a complimentary shuttle within Margate. Beachstock is organizedby the MBA partnership with Margate City,  100.7 WZXL, 95.1 WAYV and Buck London Productions. Rain date is Sunday, June 26.
