Beachstock 2018

Beachstock 2018 returns to the Margate Beach Saturday, June 30 with new activities, new music and new performances.  Children and adults can learn to limbo and hula with professional dancers from the South Pacific Island Dancers and unwind with Yoga presented by the Milton and Betty Katz Jewish Community Center.

New musical attractions at the eighth annual installment of this 14-hour event include non-stop music on the 100.7 WZXL main stage by Matt Santry, DJ Jason E and The British Invasion Experience. Food is a highlight at Beachstock where guests can enjoy a wide variety of mouth watering fare. 

Returning this year, is the volleyball and lifeguard competitions, vendors, local retailers, sand sculpting lessons, tow at demonstrations, Stacey’s Surf lessons, free skin checks by Dr. Carroccia, Margate Fire Departments Cool Blast, Kid’s Treasure Hunt, face painting by Alissa, beer and margarita garden and, at dusk, a bonfire and a family friendly movie. No beach tags are required for the event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and stretches between the Huntington and Granville Ave. beaches behind the Margate Public Library.

Festival goers can enjoy complimentary jitney shuttle service running 10am-10pm along Atlantic Avenue between Coolidge and Fredericksburg avenues and the Eugene A. Tighe School. Beachstock is organized by the MBA partnership with Margate City, 100.7 WZXL, 95.1 WAYV and Buck London Productions. Rain date is Sunday, July 1.

On the 100.7 WZXL STAGE

Matt Santry  

Renown singer and songwriter, Matt’s journey has taken him across the country performing at over 100 colleges, on festivals bills with the acts like The Lumineers and Counting Crows, sharing stages with Delta Rae, Brent Young, Tony Lucca to name a few. 

You may have heard Matt’s voice before and not realized it. Besides performing his own songs, his voice has been featured in numerous national ad campaigns, from a singing cowboy in a Febreze commercial to backing Adam Levine and Blake Shelton in The Voice, Season 14 theme song. In early 2018, Matt is set to release his 5th album. Produced by Alex Wong, (Delta Rae, Ari Hest, Vienna Teng) this collection of songs was recorded entirely in Wong’s Nashville Studio “Angel House South”.

Featuring energetic dances and beautiful costuming from all Polynesian Islands including Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, New Zealand and Fiji. Plus Samoan Fire Knife Performers

DJ Jason E

Jason E is an Atlantic City born and raised 16 year veteran DJ of the Philadelphia and South Jersey Nightclub Scene. Jason is best known for his 10-14hr marathon DJ sets at the legendary Studio Six in Atlantic City. In addition Jason has performed at some of the country’s hottest nightclubs ranging from NYC, to Miami Beach, to Las Vegas. DJ Jason E spins a unique style of high energy music with hard hitting bass lines fused with a wide range of music genres.
